Introduction to Ross Valley Youth Soccer Club
Our goal is to provide a fun time and exercise for your children, as well as teach soccer skills and good sportsmanship.
Under 10 years old (U10) teams play other Ross Valley teams. U12, U14 and U16 teams play in the Marin Inter-League against other teams from Ross Valley, Mill Valley, Tiburon, West Marin, San Rafael, San Anselmo and Dixie. There might even be a U19 team this year if we have enough interest and a volunteer to organize the team.
We are planning to have an evaluation day for any of the newcomers to the U10 league. Any second graders that want to "play up" for U10 will need to have Jean Marc's approval. More details will follow.
We are planning to use a "Blind Draft" this year (same as last year) to pick all teams. This type of draft keeps the teams balanced and is mandated by our Central Marin League Board. You will be contacted by August 1st with details on your child's team and coach's name.
This year we especially need parents to coach, assist in coaching, and referee. Remember, this is "our" community club, and the only way to guarantee success and ensure fun for our kids is to volunteer. We look forward to seeing your child and you out on the soccer field soon!
